How do I start evaluating?
When you access the MindGenius splash screen (the one showing the days remaining on your evaluation), you have three choices, 'Go Buy', 'Activate' and 'Trial'.
To evaluate the product, select 'Trial'.
Should you later decide to purchase the product, on receipt of payment you will receive a Product Licence Number and Product Security Code. At that stage, select 'Activate' and register the evaluation as a licensed copy of the software.
How do I set up MindGenius with Sharepoint?
Licences for Q-Pulse Users
You are entitled to claim a number of MindGenius licences free of charge.
With your initial Q-Pulse purchase you will receive up to 5 MindGenius licences at no extra cost. Any additional Q-Pulse licences purchased at a later date are not covered by this offer.
Before activating your free licences, visit our Downloads page and make sure that you have downloaded and installed the latest MindGenius software. You will be able to use the software straightaway via the 30 day trial mode.
To fully activate your free MindGenius licences, complete the form supplied with your Q-Pulse purchase or contact info@mindgenius.com quoting your Q-Pulse G reference number. Electronic licence keys will be made available to you by return.
What is the difference between the Business and Education versions?
The Education version is for Academic use only for educators and learners in schools, colleges and universities.
Functionally, there is no difference between the business and education versions of the MindGenius products - the differences are in the resources (sample maps, templates and question sets) shipped with each.
With each MindGenius education licence you can only install onto 1 PC.
With each MindGenius business licence you have the option to install onto 2 PC's, e.g. your work PC and home PC or laptop. The software can only be run on one PC system at any time.
Will MindGenius run on a Mac?
Our MindGenius range of products were developed as Windows applications.
However, whilst MindGenius was designed as an 'MS Windows' application, we have had feedback from a number of our clients that they have run MindGenius successfully using a windows emulator on a Mac.
MindGenius have carried out in-house testing using Virtual PC Win 2000 emulator running on an OSX, G4 Mac system and found MindGenius performed well in this environment.
If you have a windows emulator on your Mac, you can download a free evaluation of MindGenius and try it out for yourself.
Can I use MindGenius on Terminal Server?
The standard MindGenius 30 Day Trial can be enabled to be installed and run in a Terminal Server environment.

How do I activate MindGenius?
You can activate the trial version of the product using your licence and security code provided. When you access the MindGenius splash screen (the one showing the days remaining on your evaluation), select 'Activate' product.
Select the 'Automatic' activation method and follow the instructions.
If you have a firewall in place you will be unable to use the automated activation process. If this is the case or you experience any other problems please email us at info@mindgenius.com and we can send the unlock code to you.
What are the recommended system requirements?
Operating System Compatibility
MindGenius Version 4 is compatible with Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8 operating systems (all versions, including 64-bit).
Windows 2000, Windows Me, Windows 98 and Mac OS X are not supported.
System Requirements
MindGenius Business (and Education)
Minimum: Pentium II (or equivalent) 400MHz, 256MB RAM, 100MB available disk space.
Recommended: Intel Core 2 (or equivalent) 1.8GHz+, 2048MB RAM, 100MB available disk space.
Minimum requirements are not applicable to all operating systems, and your computer should normally exceed the requirements for your operating system before attempting to run MindGenius.
Please note that Microsoft Office 2010 Home and Student is not supported. All other versions of Microsoft Office are supported.
I receive an error that there are no unlocks left
Please contact us at support@mindgenius.com with your license details, we will then release your unlock code to allow you to re-register MindGenius.
